We were tasked with creating a look based on items sourced from St Vincent De Paul with $20, for the fashion show theme: Better Together. I sourced men's button-up, cut them into two different square sizes, and stitched them together using a surger and straight stitch sewing machine. I then draped my newly constructed fabric onto the dress form to shape the top of my final design. The pants were flat patterned and cut from large pieces of the patch-worked material.
